An Autumn Day | Get Ready With Me

This past week I have really felt the transition from summer to autumn. In the mornings it is getting a little harder to wake up and get out of my warm bed and into the cold frozen air. When you have to change your sheets into wooly blankets or quilts you know that summer is officially over. I decided to show you how I get ready for an autumn day in Australia.
I have recently purchased this from Lush I love this because it has little shimmer bits in it. I am not so fond on the smell but it doesn't smell bad I just prefer sweeter scents. It is a lovely consistency and makes you skin look glowing.

I am trying to get my split ends under control before I go cut my hair. I want my hair to be as long as it can be before I go to get my hair cut because I want to get blonde in the tips of my hair (aka ombre). I know that bleach is not good for your hair so I am trying to combat my split ends. I recommend the total repair mask, you get a lot of product in it and it really works. I usually use it every time I wash my hair so 2 to 3 times a week as it doesn't say that it is a weekly mask, I use it after I condition my hair and I leave it in for 3 minutes then rinse it out.
I used my trusty origins moisturiser which is sadly nearly empty, at least that shows how much I love it. It sinks into the skin really well and fast, makes you look glowing and rejuvenated.

I recently bought the Nars sheer glow foundation (I know I'm really late on that trend) but I am so glad that I finally got it, it is by far the best foundation I have ever gotten. It is quite pricey but after I got a sample I was already in love and had to get it. If you are not sure about this foundation you can go into your local mecca and ask one of the employees to match you and give you a sample, it's free!

I used the Real Techniques buffing brush to apply my foundation. Also just incase your like where is her hair? I have it in a bun to get my wet hair out of my face :)

I use the Too Faced born this way concealer in the shade very fair which is a pink toned concealer which is the wrong tone, I am yellow toned but as it is a light shade it seems to look ok. I am not all keen on the feel of this concealer, although it is good to cover blemishes I wish it felt a bit more light weight as it feels a bit heavy especially under the eyes.
(Don't mind the weird face) I do three dots under my eyes, a couple on my blemishes and a dot on my forehead, chin and the tip of my nose.
To blend that in I use the Real Techniques contour brush and lightly blend my concealer in.
To set my foundation and concealer I use the Rimmel match perfection in translucent, this is a loose powder. I bake under my eyes to make sure there is no creasing. If you do not like the smell of baby powder, this smells a bit like that. I probably wouldn't recommend this, but I can stand the smell so I don't mine it is still a good and affordable product. I used my beauty blender to apply the powder to my face.
Whilst the powder is still under my eyes I apply the hoola bronzer from Benefit underneath my cheekbones, on my jawline, on the sides of my nose and on both sides of my forehead.
I use my amazing Morphe E16 pro sculpting brush. It is so good and cheap, I would highly recommend it, it gives out contour a flawless finish and is very precise and great for powder and cream products.

For blush I used the Too Faced sparkling bellini. I always go back to this as it gives me such a natural blush a glow, it is perfect for daytime and looks amazing in the summer time.

I used my favourite highlighter, Jeffree star skin frost in the shade Ice cold. I used it on top of my cheek bones to my temples, on my brow bone, on my cupids bow, on the bridge of my nose and a little bit on my chin.
I use the Morphe M532, the bristles on this brush are perfect for highlighting, they aren't too thin or to dense, perfect for highlighting.
I use my trusty Urban decay eyeshadow primer potion to, you guessed it prime my eyelids!
I used sugar cookie as a base colour and my absolute favourite crease shade EVER chestnut for my transition/crease shade.

I used both Real Techniques brushes, the base shadow brush for my base colour and the deluxe crease crush for the transition/crease shade. If you can't already tell I love the Real Technique brushes, although I wish I had more eyeshadow blending brushes as I think Real Technique brushes are really good quality.
I used my most recent purchase, a rose gold metallic liquid eyeshadow from sports girl. I can't tell you enough how much I love this, two of my friends have it as well I think we are obsessed. I must say these last and go on a lot better if you only have a primer underneath it, as I put on a eyeshadow base before I applied this it did not last long and have it's full effect but it still looks amazing and it blends really nicely although as it is liquid you have to work quite fast when blending as it sets pretty quickly.
I have been doing this exact eye look for three days now I think this is my favourite combo at the moment (I'm obsessed!).
I used the model co power lash black mascara for my bottom and top lashes.

I used my amazing Tanya burr cosmetics perfect brows pallet, I always go for the darkest shade hot cocoa. It is almost a perfect match for my brows, if it was a bit more grey toned instead of red toned
then it would be perfect.
To set my brows I used the Anastasia beverly hills clear brow gel.

I recently got my hands on a new Kylie velvet lip kit in the shade harmony. As it is so expensive to ship to Australia I made sure I bought a shade I knew I would be very wearable for me. So I went for harmony, a nice dark orange toned pink. All though it is orange tone it somehow doesn't make my teeth look yellow which is a massive bonus. I am not really bit fan of her original lip kits as I don't like how drying they are and personally I like Jeffree star's matte liquid lips better as it feels like there is nothing on you lips whereas Kylie's is a bit heavier although it does last a very long time I don't like how heavy it feels. Whereas her velvet liquid lipsticks are AMAZING, I love the formula it feels amazing and smooth. Although they aren't as long lasting as her matte liquid lipsticks this is 100% a winner for me and would definitely purchase more.

I took out my dam hair so I can blow dry my hair, I usually like to let my hair air dry because as I said before I am trying to repair my split ends and that means not using heat very often on my hair.
I don't know if any of you would be interested in this but I use the Parlux 3800 hairdryer to dry my hair. All I can say is that it get's the job done.
Before I dried my hair I sprayed this all over my hair as this is a heat protectant and volumes spray.
Once I have finished drying my hair I spray organ oil to my ends and rub it in to make my ends look healthy and not look like straw.

I chose to wear black ballet flats with gold spikes on the tips with a black top underneath a Guess trench coat with a black belt around the waist. If it was really cold today I would have worn some stockings underneath but it wasn't too bad today.
I hope you liked this weeks blog post, I have wanted to do a get ready with me for a long time but have not had the chance. I want to know what your most recent beauty product purchase is, I am always looking for new products to test out :)
Victoria xx

  17. So many amazing products. I've heard great things about Orgins Ginzing. I've also been trying to find a great concealer for my pale skin that isn't super thick. I'm going to give the Born this Way a try.

    1. With the born this way concealer a lot goes a long way, although they do have a good range of lighter shades. I would probably recommend the urban decay naked concealer as it is really light weight and not thick at all but has great pigmentation :)
