Quick And Easy Halloween Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats

I love Halloween and everything that comes with it, especially when it involves chocolate or at least something sweet, so I couldn't wait to make something for Halloween. I made these quick and easy Rice Krispy halloween pumpkins, they were honestly the easiest and quickest thing I have made in a long time and that's what I love about them.

What you will need

5 cups of Rice Krispie cereal
3 tablespoons of butter
285 grams of marshmallows (1 bag)
red and yellow food colouring
1 chomp chocolate bar or 1 chocolate bullet bag (you'll have leftovers)
1 green fruit rollup

Method
Start off by putting a large sauce pan onto the stove, put the butter in at a low heat.
Once the butter is completely melted put in the marshmallows, I cut mine in half and then half again so then it would be easier to melt. Whilst you put the marshmallows in make sure to stir them.

Once the marshmallows have almost all melted, keep stirring them and turn off the heat.
Whilst still hot put 4 drops of yellow food colouring and 2 drops of red food colouring into the melted marshmallow and stir until completely orange. Whilst hot pour the Rice Krispies into the pan, make sure to pour a cup of Rice Krispies in at a time and mix well so the marshmallow is spread out evenly throughout the Rice Krispies.

Once you think all of the Rice Krispies are mixed or you can't possibly put anymore Rice Krispies into the mixture (that's what happened to me). When the mixture is warm but not to warm that it will burn you, pick a small handful and shape it into a ball and flatten it down onto the tray and make a little hole at the top to put the chocolate into.

Cut the chomp chocolate bar into little pieces or if you are using chocolate bullets you don't need to cut them. Put them in the middle of the Rice Krispies whilst still warm.

Once done cut small leaf like pieces from a green fruit rollup (you will not use all of it so treat yourself and eat the rest).

There you go! A quick and easy Halloween themed Rice Krispie treat.

I hope you liked this little Halloween treat, I had made 7 of these Rice Krispie Treats yesterday and there are currently 2 left so with a household of 4 I think it's a winner. Tag me and send me a picture of your recreation on twitter or Instagram and tell me how good yours tastes.
